On the inside…it’s always #TaperThursday – check out some #FreeMusic courtesy of Banshee Tree at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom (The Other Side)!
With one of the most interesting sounds in the scene, Banshee Tree treated the Thursday night “Grass For That Ass” crowd to their blend of gyspy swing blues rock, garnering several powerful moments in jams led by soulful guitar playing and hauntingly dynamic violin/fiddle work. Check out “In The Company Of Crows”, “Moth” and “Spare Me” for a fine display of the band stretching out a bit and showing the range of their sound. The set closing “Spare Me” in particular featured a real dark electronic jam with frantic guitar work that feverishly snaps itself around before finally resolving back into the regular song structure. It was a peak for sure and poignant way to end the set.
