Taking you to space with this #MusicMonday! Check out some #FreeMusic from MLIMA opening things up at The Bluebird Theater!
It’s hard for me to describe MLIMA’s sound without imagining being on a space station, drinking some exotic alien drink while headbanging to “Space Hop”. Every part of this group comes together to make a truly unique presence that transports you somewhere else. I enjoy trying to describe their sound. Psychedleic alien funk? Intergalactic jazz rock? Space-Soul? Whatever MLIMA feels/sounds like to you, the sheer talent in the band is unmistakable and is on full display throughout this set. Personal highlight for me was “Planet Borscht” which thoroughly explores the band’s sound and puts everyone’s talents front and center. Also really enjoyed the intense chorus in “Moon Is Not”. Honestly I’ve already re-listened to the whole set 5-6 times since I’ve uploaded it just because I’ve dug it so much so maybe give it all a chance
