Assembly Of Dust | 2018-06-01 | Cervantes’ Other Side, Denver, CO [SBD/AUD Matrix]

It’s #TaperThursday – you know what that means….#FreeMusic, ashes to ashes, check out Assembly Of Dust headlining Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom (Other Side)!

Friday night, AoD brought their impressively infectious melodies, strong musical chops and over a decade’s worth of experience to Denver for a headlining spot at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom(Other Side). They opened strong with a solid rendition of “Burning Down” which comes off like a southern-rock tune until its reggae inspired (and very catchy) chorus hits. The jam laid into a blissful space with a soaring guitar solo that helped land a pretty perfect start to the show. The band seemed happy and loose as they played classics like “Whistle Clock”, “Zero To The Skin” and “Cold Coffee”. The latter of which was a truly beautiful performance. Picking things back-up after “Cold Coffee” the band launched into the biggest jam of the night within “Honey Creeper” which featured some great interplay from the entire band. From the raucous guitar to the impressive organ tones, the band was 100% locked-in during this segment. The final tune of the night, “Paul Henry” was one of my favorites and gave the Friday night crowd one last reason to dance. The catchy chorus and heartfelt lyrics were a perfect send-off. Great night for Denver live music.
