Maybe if we listen to enough music, spring will just kind of happen? I’m down to try. Check out some more #FreeMusic on this #TaperTuesday courtesy of David Burchfield & the Fire Guild opening things up at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom(Other Side)!
Bluegrass Thursdays at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom provides such consistently awesome headliners especially with the “Pickin’ On” series which explores popular artists through a bluegrass lens. But the sometimes overlooked gems lie within the local talent that is always on display to start the night off. David Burchfield & the Fire Guild is one of those artists. Blending classic americana with bluegrass and folk overtones, the band’s sound felt right at home during the weekly string residency. Emotive songwriting and impactful playing carried the band through a set of solid originals about regrets, love lost, trying to do better and missing Colorado, among others. A great way to start the evening.
